East Grinstead Sports Club is delighted to announce that as from February 1st, 2023, Acorns Leisure have taken over the running of the sports club.
This is a very exciting time for both organisations as there are many opportunities to improve and increase the availability of services to all members and users of the site. There are already plans to develop the gym as well as the bar and catering services. In addition there are plans to tidy up the look and feel of the site as well as making some improvements to the building, such as expanding the upstairs bar balcony for use in the summer months.
Michael Hough, MD of Acorns said
“We are delighted to be able to take on the running of the East Grinstead Sports Club site so soon after our fire in August last year. We have brought along our senior management team and we are all very excited to be back to work in such a wonderful environment and at such an exciting time for both businesses. Previous Acorns members will be most welcome to come up and visit us in our new home and we look forward to working alongside the sports club and all its members, users and parents and start to get to meet everybody in the very near future.”
Gary Needle, Chair of East Grinstead Sports Club commented
“All the trustees and members would like to welcome Acorns to our club. The move from their previous site has been very fast and we know they have an extremely good reputation for running their club in Copthorne. We have already built an excellent relationship with them and are fast developing plans to expand and enhance the services to all members and guests. We are very confident of turning the sports club site into one of the best sporting and social community venues in East Grinstead and the surrounding area.”
