Tourism in East Grinstead

A walk along the historic High Street will take you back through 800 years of Sussex heritage.

East Grinstead boasts many historic half timbered buildings and open hall houses in the UK. Some buildings date from the 15th and 16th centuries and there are splendid examples from Georgian and Regency times too.

To learn more about the history of East Grinstead please visit the Town Museum in Cantelupe Road.

Visiteastgrinstead.com, which was founded by the East Grinstead Business Association in co-operation with the East Grinstead Town Council, is a non-profit making web site run for the benefit of residents and local businesses. Its aim is to further develop our town as a DESTINATION, attract visitors and create a sense of community.

We carry limited advertising to cover the site’s operating costs and create a small surplus for use on suitable town projects.

Should you wish to advertise or have your business listed on the site please contact the team at communityandtourism@eastgrinstead.gov.uk
