The Bluebell Railway Museum at Sheffield Park Station is pleased to announce the unveiling of an exhibition shedding light on the often-overlooked contributions of Women to railways throughout history. This compelling exhibition, set to open its doors at 12:30 pm on March 30th, will be inaugurated by the Town Mayor of Haywards Heath, Stephanie Inglesfield.

The exhibition will tell the story of how women played a major role in the history of our railways. As well as the museum displays the exhibition will be featured on the museum’s website, and be supported by information on the interactive display kiosk in the museum and with a video. Guided tours and talks will be given when requested.

Titled “Railway Women” the exhibition promises to delve into the captivating narrative of how women have played a pivotal role in shaping the rich tapestry of railway history. The exhibition will pay homage to the countless women whose contributions have left an indelible mark on railway history.

In addition to the museum displays, the exhibition will be accessible online through the museum’s website, ensuring that the inspiring stories of railway women reach audiences far and wide. Visitors can also immerse themselves in the interactive display kiosk within the museum.  The Bluebell Railway Museum invites all to join us in commemorating the resilience and spirit of “Railway Women” in this exhibition that will run for three months.
