EAST COURT
East Court Mansion is the Town Council’s administrative base and is set within the parkland grounds of East Court.
It is an 18th Century Grade II listed building that was restored in the 1980’s by the Town Council.
There is extensive free parking available adjacent to the building for hirers and visitors.
There are two rooms which are suitable for individual tutoring or small group meetings. The Main Hall, which has many period features can be linked with the “Cranston Suite” to create a larger suite of rooms suitable for a wide variety of uses and can accommodate up to 100 people.
The Cranston Suite consists of a large elegant room with many original features and has the benefit of looking out over the grounds to Ashdown Forest beyond. It also has an ante-room with patio doors leading out to the terraces and the grounds. This room is suitable for small parties and can accommodate meetings and lectures of up to 50 people. This room is also registered as a venue for civil weddings and can accommodate up to 40 guests for such an event.
In addition the Town Council lets out the council chamber. This magnificent room is suitable for meetings of up to 25 people.
