Have your elf a merry little Christmas at East Grinstead care home
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at an East Grinstead care home, and the local community is invited to celebrate the festive season at a special fundraising event.
On Monday 23rd December, from 10am-12.30pm, the Care UK team at Mill View, on Sunnyside Close, will open the home’s doors for its own ‘Elf Day’ celebration in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.
On the day, guests are invited to enjoy a relaxing morning and indulge in an array of homemade cakes and treats – all of which will be available for a small donation to the Alzheimer’s Society.
There will be a raffle, and guests are invited to wear their best Elf costume – with a special prize for the best dressed Elf.
Debbie Wheeler, home manager at Mill View, said: “Christmas has officially arrived here at Mill View and we’re thrilled to be able to bring everyone together for a morning of festive fun for charity.
“Thousands of people around the UK are living with dementia, and we understand all too well how much this can affect their lives and the lives of their loved ones. Providing specialist dementia care is at the heart of what we do here at Mill View, and we strongly believe that everyone deserves to have access to all the help and support they need.
“We are proud to be supporting the Alzheimer’s Society, and we hope local people will join us for a morning of festive fun and sweet treats with friends.”
In the lead up to the event, the local community is also invited to donate prizes towards the Elf Day raffle.
Mill View has been designed to deliver the very best standards of care and to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives. The home provides full-time residential, nursing and specialist dementia care, as well as short-term respite.
