Event Details

Come and learn about the history of the town’s drinking fountain, from it’s origins as a celebration of Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee in 1887, to it’s decline in the mid 20th Century. Today, it is the centre of exciting plans by the East Grinstead Society to restore it as a functional drinking water fountain for the town.

Robin Whalley is Vice Chair of the East Grinstead Society, who has been leading on the plans to restore the fountain. He shares the successes and challenges from the project so far, and what will be happening next.

The talk is on Thursday 27th April at 7:30pm.

The talk will take place at East Grinstead Museum.
