How conflict has transformed the approach to treating burns

The Guinea Pig Club, founded in 1941 by patients of the famed plastic surgeon Sir Archibald McIndoe celebrates it’s 80th anniversary  in 2021.

As part of this, we are hosting a series of events focused on the impact of the club.

For our final talk, we will be exploring how conflict has led to new developments for the treatment of burns. This is particularly important in light of the recent conflicts within Afghanistan and Iraq.

About the Speaker

Tania Cubison is a Deputy Medical Director at Queen Victoria Hospital, serving multiple tours in the Royal Army Medical Corps in Afghanistan.
