Chequer Mead Theatre and LP Creatives Present ‘Cinderella’

You shall go to the ball this Christmas with this spectacular family pantomime!!

LP Creatives return to East Grinstead for another highly anticipated record-breaking pantomime with the magical pantomime adventures of ‘Cinderella’.

Join Cinders as she goes from rags to riches, outwits her wicked step-sisters and meets her dashing Prince Charming… ‘Cinderella’ will be packed with top quality special effects, slap-stick silliness, beautiful costumes and mesmerising scenery.

Don’t miss this feast of fun, a bundle of favourite songs and first-rate fabulous panto magic!

The fantastic hand-picked cast will be once again joined by the talented students from local dance school, Roshe Performing Arts.

Producer Lorna Price from LP Creatives said: “Last year we were delighted to again be greeted with such genuine enthusiasm and appreciation of the show. This year we have pulled out all the stops and we promise to bring a show to East Grinstead that will totally amaze everybody!

“We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful theatre with a generous stage and a marvellous crew behind us! Plus of course plenty of happy audience members watching the show – it allows us to give the performances some truly spectacular effects and create some fantastic memories!

“We have a stunning set that has to be seen to be believed, along with a fabulous animatronic horse and carriage that going to love – all this and a story full of wonder and magic!”

A highly experienced and professional cast come to East Grinstead this year – the lead role of ‘Cinders’ will be beautifully portrayed by Katie-Elizabeth Allgood. Comedy comes again from CBBC’s hilarious Callum Donnelly returning as ‘Buttons’, from CBeebies ‘Spotbots’ we welcome Cat Ballamy as the ‘Fairy Godmother and Aaron Charles adds to the mayhem as the befuddled ‘Baron Hardup’. So now on to the nefarious ‘Ugly Sisters’ played by Kevin Gauntlett as ’Tweeta’ and James Austin Harvey as ‘Texta’ –  terrorising the children – and probably most of the adults too – with the right amount of pantomime badness to keep the hecklers happy! The very handsome Carlton Venn completes the cast, making his East Grinstead debut swooning all as ‘Prince Charming’!

Writer Tom Beard can’t wait to see it all unfurl this year: “This will be LP Creatives third year producing the pantomime at the theatre. Everyone is working very hard to make sure that we follow our two previous productions here with even better high quality entertainment and the magic of Christmas that East Grinstead deserves!  Plus of course some very terrible jokes!

“The audiences keep growing here and we are putting on more and more performances every year to cater for this,” Tom continues “I hope this shows that we are getting people talking and interested in coming to the Chequer Mead Theatre for their festive treat!”

LP Creatives specialise in family theatre and pantomime and following ‘Beauty and the Beast’ in 2017 and ‘Peter Pan’ last year are delighted that tickets sales have rocketed since they took over producing the show.

Lorna Price adds “This show will be driven by an extremely fun and unique experience – as well as being a spectacular extravaganza for the senses! It is very important for children to come to the theatre – to see something spectacular in real life during the festive season makes everything seem so much bigger and better! This is why it is so important for us to produce big family shows.  ‘Cinderella’ is a hugely popular pantomime, as it has so many elements to make an amazing show. It will be a chance for all generations to spend time together at the theatre this Christmas. Not only does this time help strengthen the family bond; it helps to nurture a love of live theatre in the youngest of audience members.

“We have now firmly established our pantomime here in East Grinstead and hopefully this will encourage people to come and see the magic unfold in our corner of pantoland this year, we promise that everybody will leave with a smile on their face!”
